Job Purpose: To perform loading/unloading of RJW trucks and outside carriers. Ensure all shipments are properly stored in the warehouse. Pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by customer.

• Loading/unloading truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment.
• Picking and moving items from 1 lb to 50 lbs or more multiple times.
• Ensure all documentation is properly completed.
• Coordinate with dispatch and sales to resolve any discrepancies.
• Properly store inbound loads in the correct warehouse location.
• Ensure all shipments are properly marked before storing/picking.
• Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into warehouse.
• Coordinate paperwork with drivers after normal dispatch operations are finished for the day.
• General maintenance of surrounding warehouse.
• Ensure trailers are swept clean of any debris when empty.
• Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Process outbound freight cross‑dock freight as necessary.
• Operate stand‑up reach, cherry pickers, and sit‑down forklifts.
• Follow all safety procedures at all times.
• Build pallets and break down stock.
• Work in a fast‑paced warehouse.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.

• Must know how to operate a forklift, cherry picker, and stand‑up reach forklift.
• Good communication, problem‑resolution, and people skills.
• Maintain orderly operation of warehouse.

• 1 year forklift driving experience.
• Certified forklift license.

• High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred.

• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, percent and interpret bar graphs.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret instructions furnished in written or oral form; determine root cause of problems and corrective action.

• Knowledge of business operating systems, internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Activate phone systems using keyboards and buttons.
• Speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
• Work in indoor/office environment; sit and use repetitive hand motion regularly.
• Talk, hear, stand and walk frequently.
• Work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
• Work under stressful situations with good cognitive skills; maintain accuracy and multitask.
• Read and discern visual images with 20/20 corrected vision.
• Physically healthy as determined by a certified physician with no evidence of controlled substance use.

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
