Operations Manager

The Operations Manager (Shift Manager) is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, and compliance with safety standards. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating logistics activities, and resolving operational issues to maintain productivity and service quality.

• Manage daily warehouse operations during assigned shifts, including receiving, shipping and Inventory.
• Supervise and lead warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through proper handling, storage, and documentation.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing safety protocols.
• Monitor shift productivity and implement improvements to meet KPIs.
• Communicate effectively with other departments (e.g., logistics, customer service, inventory control).
• Train new employees and support ongoing development of team members.
• Resolve operational issues and elevate complex problems to management.
• Prepare shift reports and update management on performance and challenges.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in warehouse shift manager/ operation manager, with at least 5 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to perform warehouse duties (e.g., lifting, standing, walking).

• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of lean warehousing or continuous improvement practices.
• Experience in high-volume or fast-paced warehouse environments.
