CNC Horizontal Machinist

Overview

CNC Horizontal Machinist – 1st or 2nd shift. At WALCO Tool & Engineering, we build precision components in a clean, organized and quality-driven environment. If you're an experienced machinist who thrives on efficiency and craftsmanship, we want you on our team.

• Set up and run CNC horizontal milling machines
• Perform contour milling, drilling, boring, and tapping
• Read blueprints and maintain tight tolerances
• Inspect your own work – quality matters here
• Keep machines running smoothly and efficiently

• 7+ years of CNC horizontal machining experience – setup and operation
• Ability to perform multiple set-ups daily
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Solid understanding of G & M codes
• Experience working with various materials such as steel, aluminum, cast iron and alloys
• High attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to physically lift/push/pull objects up to 40 lbs.
• Standard measuring tools required

• $25-30 per hour, based on experience
• First shift: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• We are open 24/7 with flexible scheduling options for second shift
• Second shift employees receive a 10% shift differential on top of base pay
• Second shift employees have the option to choose between five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week, depending on availability
