As a Saw Shop Operator
, you’ll get to set up our builders for success by operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation. You’ll be a vital part of our pallet manufacturing process and we’re looking for a motivated individual to fill this role.
Hourly Pay: $18.00/hr.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
Location: Lockport, IL 60441.
- Operate power saws to cut and trim wood pallets.
- Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with plant management on a regular basis.
- Work overtime as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing highly preferred.
- Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality.
- Understanding of basic safety procedures and PPE use.
- Ability to work in extreme conditions, including heat, cold, and airborne particulates.
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 75 lbs and adjust body position for shifts of varying length.
- Ability to use eye protection, ear protection, and safety shoes.
- Close, distance, and color vision required.
