Facility Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Position Summary

A Penske Facility Maintenance Technician will work in a warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from 34% to 95%. Perform all maintenance and preventative maintenance on a variety of media to include but not limited to: mobile equipment, plumbing, electrical, dock doors, levelers and related dock equipment, concrete floor repair, painting, carpentry, rack repair and all related facilities maintenance.

• 1st Shift: Sunday – Wednesday 5:00am – 1:00pm

$33.00 per hour

• Complete daily equipment rounds and make repairs as required.
• Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems. Contact vendors as necessary.
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
• Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
• Support operations department by providing suggestions and developing solutions as needed.
• Serve as a point of contact during off‑shift hours for facilities issues.

• 2‑year associate degree or equivalent from a technical school, or 3 years’ experience in an industrial setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read, write and understand verbal communication in English.
• Working knowledge of industrial equipment, maintenance and repair, including fire systems, chains, bearings, gearboxes, motors, conveyor belts, lifts, and other wear‑related areas.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance and repair, including voltages from 110v – 480v 3‑phase, wiring, fuses, relays and the ability to comprehend electrical schematics.

• Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods throughout the scheduled work period.
• Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, or otherwise operate required tools or controls.
• Work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated platforms.
• Work safely in all weather conditions.
• Navigate the workplace safely in presence of moving large trucks.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lb (23kg) and occasionally up to 100lb (45kg). Also able to push/pull truck tires exceeding 100lb.
