Job Purpose: To operate forklifts (sit-down) safely and efficiently; handle all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; loading/unloading of RJW truck/trailers and outside carriers safely and using proper procedures; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; responsible for properly storing stock in the warehouse; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities.

Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Maintain forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.

• Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
• Ability to operate reach truck and/or walkie-rider.
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Load and unload RJW truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.
• Flexible to work 10 to 12 hour shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.
• Picking and moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
• Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Process outbound cross-dock freight as necessary.
• Oversee storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks.
• Work from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers.
• Record and verify the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
• Ensure all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
• This includes wearing seatbelts at all times when operating the forklift.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections.
• Handle all customer products properly and orderly.
• Check deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage. Alert Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.
• Report all accidents/incidents, to employee, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
