Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerk who is skilled in logistics and inventory management. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts, process shipments, and manage documentation efficiently.

• Operate forklifts to move products around the facility.
• Greet and check in delivery drivers, verifying shipment details and collecting documentation.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and labels.
• Enter and track shipments using SAP to ensure accurate inventory and logistics records.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and communicate updates to internal teams.
• Monitor dock activity and coordinate with warehouse staff for timely loading/unloading.
• Resolve discrepancies in shipment documentation and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain organized records of all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Perform general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and generating reports.

• 2-3 years of experience in shipping/receiving or logistics coordination.
• Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, particularly with drivers and vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Forklift experience is a significant advantage.
• Experience in material handling and order selection.

The position is located in a brand new, well-lit, and very clean facility. Employees are required to wear steel toe shoes. You will be working at the front desk in a warehouse setting, with openings on the 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) and mid-day (10am-6pm) with potential for overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lockport, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $20.25/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lockport,IL.
