- Starting rate $22/hour, plus $1 per shift differential and tier increases:

The Inventory Control Specialist analyzes inventory data, monitors product holds, and tracks key inventory metrics. Duties include processing emails, data and order entry, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies and claims, and maintaining accurate reports for finished goods, CHEP pallets, PECO pallets, and other materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Accurately input inventory control data.
- Perform physical counts of inventory (finished goods, pallets, materials).
- Count, reconcile, and report inventory daily.
- Complete documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time.
- Monitor and audit on‑hold products, pallets, and transfer orders across multiple warehouses; identify and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Trace item history to determine discrepancies and recommend remedial actions.
- Reconcile customer claims against inventory adjustments and research as appropriate.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures, and manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with inventory processes, procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
- Use computer terminals to account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
- 1–3 months related experience and/or training in inventory control, quality, or warehouse environment.
- Experience with WMS software (Synapse preferred).
- PC literate; experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access database.
- Detail‑oriented with high accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and write emails clearly and professionally.
- Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
- Experience working with multiple warehouse locations preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables with limited standardization.
- Interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
- Determine root cause of problems and recommend corrective action.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for email, spreadsheets, and report creation.
- Ability to analyze reports and data.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 55 lb.
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use keyboards and phones.
- Speak and communicate clearly over the phone.
- Work continuously over 8 hours when required and under stressful conditions.
- Maintain 20/20 corrected vision.
- Pass a physical exam; no evidence of controlled substance use.
May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. Noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
