Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations for a construction-focused business. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing billing activities, payroll-related documentation, and high-volume accounting records with accuracy. The position requires someone who can keep receivables, payables, and project-related financial information organized and current.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage progress billings for construction projects, ensuring contract terms and billing schedules are followed accurately.
• Process certified payroll records and maintain supporting documentation in compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Handle accounts payable tasks, including reviewing invoices, entering payment details, and maintaining organized vendor records.
• Support accounts receivable activities by tracking customer balances, applying payments, and following up on outstanding invoices.
• Enter financial and project-related data into Quick Books and other internal records with a high level of accuracy.
• Review invoice details for completeness and alignment with job costs, approvals, and billing requirements.
• Assist with construction accounting activities by maintaining organized financial records tied to projects, vendors, and payroll reporting.
