Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator Temporary Lodi , CA $34/hr
* Position is fully onsite in Lodi
* Schedule:
Regular schedule is Monday–Friday during standard business hours; the position may occasionally require swing-hour coverage to support EHS activities and events, such as the team’s annual hearing testing
Kelly is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to work with our client, a leader in the biotech industry, on a long-term temporary basis (12+ months) in Lodi. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative EHS team supporting a 24/7 operation, providing critical coordination and program support to help maintain a safe, compliant, and well-supported workplace.
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator will:
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claim activities, including claim reporting, follow-up on associate work status, tracking restrictions/accommodations, return-to-work updates, case documentation, and related follow-up items
- Partner with HR, LOA, workers’ compensation providers, managers, and EHS team members to support timely case updates, communication, and coordination
- Provide administrative support for EHS programs, including safety glasses, safety shoes, respiratory fit testing, training coordination, and other assigned programs
- Schedule and coordinate EHS meetings, trainings, appointments, program activities, and associate check-in/logistics for EHS-related appointments
- Maintain and organize EHS communication resources, training materials, program libraries, files, supplies, and program areas in an audit-ready manner
- Support EHS event planning, including coordination of materials, communications, scheduling, and logistics
- Assist with EHS-related inspections, document findings, track corrective actions, and follow up with action owners to support timely closure
- Track open EHS action items and proactively communicate with responsible owners to help drive completion
- Prepare reports, summaries, metrics, data updates, and records for EHS programs and leadership review
- Support purchase requisitions, supply ordering, purchase order tracking, expense reporting, and budget tracking for EHS-related activities
- Support additional EHS tasks, projects, and initiatives as assigned
- 3 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety, workers’ compensation coordination, HR/LOA support, or administrative program coordination;
OR - Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-up items
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with associates, managers, HR, external providers, and cross-functional partners
- Experience maintaining records, tracking open actions, preparing reports, and managing data accurately
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Share Point
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform work that may involve standing, sitting, walking, and repetitive arm/wrist motions
- Experience with workers’ compensation claim coordination, return-to-work processes, LOA administration, or occupational health support
- Experience supporting EHS programs, compliance tracking, training coordination, or inspection follow-up
- Experience in a manufacturing, laboratory, medical device, biotechnology, or other regulated environment
- Strong Excel, SharePoint, and data reporting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to follow up with stakeholders and help drive timely completion of action items
