Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in educational settings as a skilled Sign Language Interpreter. This contract position, beginning in August 2026 and concluding in May 2027, offers you the chance to make a real impact while working 30 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, with K-12 learners. You’ll facilitate communication in classrooms, ensuring accessibility for students who rely on sign language for learning and participation.
What Were Looking For :- 4.0 EIPA score or RID Certification (required)
- Proven experience interpreting in school environments is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of Deaf culture and sensitivity to diverse communication needs
- Ability to translate spoken English to American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa with clarity and accuracy
- Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Passion for helping students thrive in inclusive educational settings
- Provide direct interpreting services in classroom and school-related activities
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administration to support student success
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and ethical practices
- Offer accurate communication support during lessons, assemblies, and meetings
- Assist in developing an environment welcoming to students using sign language
- Stay current with best practices in educational interpreting
In this role, you will enjoy a competitive hourly rate ranging from $35 to $40, along with weekly pay.
