Salary: $125,000 - $200,000 (Commensurate with experience and qualifications)
F&M Bank’s Commercial Relationship Manager has overall responsibility for managing a portfolio of commercial loans. This role is expected to grow the portfolio through solicitation of new loans from existing customers and business owners as well as establishing new key relationships and increase their book of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Relationship Managers perform regularly scheduled business development calls and promote F&M Bank’s services including Deposit accounts, Treasury Management solutions, and Retail products.
- Commercial Relationship Managers should be able to demonstrate unparalleled negotiating skills while discussing credit, fees, interest rates, and loan structures.
- Commercial Relationship Managers need to have a strong understanding of commercial lending policies, programs and procedures, and the ability to follow federal and state regulations and laws.

- A person experienced in making challenging yet successful business decisions that require sound independent judgment, effective communication, negotiation, and initiative.
- Someone with demonstrated intuitive skills, who understands the complexities and variances involved with financial statements from various types of business organizations.
- A top-notch, personable communicator who is business-focused and who demonstrates tack and professionalism while expanding effective business relationships and fostering trust with clients and potential clients.
- Role model who holds self-accountable for accomplishing goals and objectives, and who has the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
- Someone with dependable knowledge of banking institution concepts, confidentiality, federal/state regulations; works closely with credit administrators to ensure a high level of quality in applications presented for approval.
Also required:
- Successful completion of a credit check review is a condition of employment.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial lending preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance; or, a combination of Associates degree in Business, Accounting, Finance and 5 to 7 years of experience in commercial lending.
- Must be able to use various Bank related PC applications including, but not limited to the following:
Windows, E-mail, Silver Lake, Jack Henry, Word processing, EXCEL, Coretrac, and data entry. - Must actively participate in community organizations through committees or board assignments; attend local community events to represent the Bank and become a member of service group and/or nonprofit organization(s).
