• Valid 4.0 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score or higher—required
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience as a sign language interpreter in educational settings is preferred
• Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible, adaptable attitude

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and activities between Deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff
• Accurately convey information in various school settings, including classrooms, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ learning goals and accommodations
• Adhere to ethical standards and maintain respect for all individuals’ privacy and dignity
• Participate in team meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices in educational interpreting
