Amergis Educational Services is actively seeking 3 Educational American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters for an exciting school-based opportunity beginning August 31st. This is a full-time position offering a steady, consistent work schedule in an educational setting where you'll make a meaningful impact supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

School-Based Consistent School Schedule Competitive Compensation Weekly Pay Every Friday $45 per hour onsite $30 per hour for remote

Responsibilities

Provide American Sign Language interpretation services for students in educational settings.

Facilitate communication between students, teachers, administrators, and peers.

Support student participation in classroom instruction and school activities.

Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Collaborate with educational staff to promote student success.

Qualifications Educational ASL Interpreter experience preferred.

EIPA Score of 4.0 or Higher Required.

Strong understanding of Deaf culture and educational interpreting practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team.

Minimum Requirements:

Proficiency in American Sign Language Bachelors degree in interpreting, deaf studies or related field, preferred

State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable)
Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)
Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification ( as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
