Responsibilities
  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group of neonates following established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels, ensuring clear communication and safe care delivery
  • Coordinate care with other disciplines, utilizing critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making
  • Monitor vital signs, neurologic status, respiratory function, and other critical parameters in a high‑acuity NICU setting
  • Provide care for neonates experiencing life‑threatening conditions, adhering to Level III/IV NICU practices per AAP guidelines
Requirements
  • Current California RN license or eligibility to obtain by start of assignment
  • NICU experience preferred; ability to work in an intensive neonatal unit
  • Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts and participate in a travel assignment
  • BLS certification required; neonatal‑specific certifications (such as NRP or equivalent) encouraged
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with the ability to practice in a hospital NICU environment
