RN – Med/Surg | Acute Care | 13 Weeks | Night Shift

We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Med/Surg for a 13-week travel assignment in Lodi. This night‑shift role offers 36–48 hours per week with the opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment supporting Med/Surg and Telemetry patients.

• Unit Beds: 22 beds (Med/Surg & Tele capable)
• Ratios:
  Telemetry 4:1 | Med/Surg 5:1
• Floating:
  Required per union contract to Med/Surg/Tele and other departments as needed
• Call:
  Required for permanent staff
• Weekend Rotation:
  Every other weekend (subject to operational needs)

The Med/Surg RN delivers coordinated nursing care following established standards and the nursing process. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, supervises nursing activities, and promotes safe, patient‑centered care using critical thinking and professional judgment.

• Collect and analyze patient data to guide clinical decisions
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide education to patients and families
• Coordinate care with healthcare teams
• Participate in discharge planning
  
  Delegate tasks and supervise support staff
• Float and assist in other units as required

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• BLS/CPR certification (required)
• Acute care experience preferred
• BSN preferred

• Pyxis medication system
• Cerner documentation
• 24/7 pharmacy and hospitalist coverage
• IV team (day shift availability)
• Phlebotomy services available
