Short Term Acute Care Hospital in the NICU
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for NICU patients or an assigned group of patients using the nursing process and established standards
- Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with other disciplines; apply critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, and develop plans of care to meet patient outcomes; implement and evaluate progress
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and patient-centered care; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Provide patient and family education; delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of the healthcare team; maintain a safe, clean, and individualized NICU environment
- Maintain professional standards and participate in ongoing learning opportunities to support neonatal care best practices
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required
- BSN degree preferred
- Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in the field; acute care experience preferred
- Ability to work in a NICU setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- 24/7 recruiter and travel support
