  Short Term Acute Care Hospital in the NICU

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for NICU patients or an assigned group of patients using the nursing process and established standards
• Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with other disciplines; apply critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, and develop plans of care to meet patient outcomes; implement and evaluate progress
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and patient-centered care; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient and family education; delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of the healthcare team; maintain a safe, clean, and individualized NICU environment
• Maintain professional standards and participate in ongoing learning opportunities to support neonatal care best practices

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required
• BSN degree preferred
• Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in the field; acute care experience preferred
• Ability to work in a NICU setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
