Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient Nurse
Provides comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort while delivering coordinated services. Supervises and collaborates with healthcare team members to support patient outcomes and promote health education.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ health status and gather relevant clinical information.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care delivery and ensure continuity.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff members while maintaining oversight.
- Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Possess at least two years of recent experience in an outpatient, perioperative, PACU, or endoscopy setting.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills.
