Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with acute conditions. Supervises and coordinates nursing activities within the emergency department while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival to determine immediate needs.
- Implement emergency treatment plans based on established protocols and the nursing process.
- Supervise and support nursing staff and ancillary personnel in delivering patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and coordinate care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Possess a minimum of two years recent experience in emergency or acute care.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Hold certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
