Reports To:
Quality Control Manager
The Quality Control Operator will use measuring and test equipment to conduct tests, perform inspections and/or to measure parts/products in the Quality Control Department and accurately and legibly record results as applicable.
Responsibilities- Test, inspect, and/or measure parts/products for conformance to specifications.
- Record results for conducted tests, performed inspections, and/or measured parts/products.
- Maintain Quality Control Department records, reports, logs, and other documentation as required in an accurate and detailed manner.
- Assist with maintenance of measuring and test equipment in the Quality Control Department.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform activities in accordance with the specified requirements and procedures.
- Complete directions in an accurate, thorough and detailed manner.
- Ability to write and communicate in English (required).
- Good interpersonal skills.
- General ability to apply mathematical concepts of addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals.
- General knowledge in using measuring equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, gage blocks/pins, optical comparators, torque meters, and various electrical test equipment (preferred).
- Some understanding of complex engineering drawings, knowledge in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (preferred).
- Capable of using a computer and operating menu driven software (required).
