The Clerk Helper is an excellent entry‑level store position offering many opportunities for growth and learning within Save Mart’s grocery family. Clerk Helpers provide friendly, fast, and effective customer service and help maintain a welcoming store atmosphere.

• Provide a remarkable shopping experience by greeting and engaging each customer, offering assistance, and going the extra mile to ensure customers feel cared for.
• Perform store sweeps, emphasizing front‑end and entrance areas; keep floors free of spills or debris to maintain a safe environment.
• Routine cleaning of registers and belts, emptying check‑stand trash cans, dusting and facing shelves.
• Collect all shopping carts from the parking lot, maintaining a cart‑free lot throughout the shift.
• Perform price checks and assist with returning items to the correct location, prioritizing perishables.
• Assist clerks by bagging groceries quickly and efficiently during busy times, protecting quality and condition of items.

Hiring pay range: $17.10 – $17.10 per hour.

• No experience required.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Continuous walking, standing, reaching, and bending.
• Environment includes indoor and outdoor with exposure to varying temperatures.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Strong team player with willingness and desire to learn, work hard, and enjoy the job.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
