Diesel Mechanic

L&M values its customers, demonstrates prompt service, and maintains an on-site maintenance facility for all equipment, vehicles, and containers.

Perform clerical and administrative functions to support company operations. Daily tasks include billing through Quickbooks, emailing clients, drafting formal letters, and creating financial and general spreadsheets in Excel or Google Sheets.

Safely operate a Roll‑Off Truck and transport large mobile containers to disposal sites, transfer or recycle facilities and customer locations. Responsibilities include preparing, loading, and transporting containers; navigating driveways, alleyways, lots, high‑traffic roadways, and operating in tight overhead environments; performing skilled backing maneuvers; receiving work assignments with as little as a few hours’ notice; and commuting to work as required.

Preferred qualifications:

licensed CDL Class B driver; availability to work up to 25 hours a week, including Monday, Friday, and Saturdays during the summer. This position is based at 105 Route 46 West, Lodi NJ.

Maintain and repair truck fleet, including oil and filter changes, diagnostics, transmission services, lighting repairs and replacements, and general brake services. Primary focus on Mack trucks, with occasional work on Peterbilt and Autocar vehicles.
