Overview
The Business Services team in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business is accepting applications for a Business Assistant II. This is a full time, non-exempt position reporting to the Business Manager in the Huntsman School. The Business Assistant will serve as the primary contact to the Huntsman School departments to process travel requests, p-card purchases, and financial reviews. The position requires organizational skills, and needs to be able to work independently as well as be a team player.
This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah.
Responsibilities- Make purchases in accordance with University policies and procedures.
- Attach receipts for p-card purchases.
- Process all travel authorization and travel reimbursement requests in compliance with USU procedures and policies.
- Review financial transactions.
- Maintain spreadsheets to track information.
- Process journal entries as needed.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four years of related work experience; or an associate degree/technical training plus two years of related work experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a business field is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently without immediate supervision.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business data.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business data and personal information.
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to select the best solution and solve problems.
- Ability to work to create a team-based environment - consistently demonstrating cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
