Overview
Event Services is a growing department whose primary function is to assure events hosted by Utah State University "Exceed Expectations." The primary purpose of the Central Reservations Coordinator (Coordinator II) is to support the Central Reservations Manager in scheduling room and resources across Logan campus. Secondary duties include completing department-led special projects and supporting USU Catering Sales when needed.
Responsibilities- Answering questions via phone calls, emails, and in-person.
- Directing visitors around campus or to their event.
- Updating information in event database.
- Collecting information for department-led projects.
- Word-processing for documents and reports.
- Other office-support functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of office experience; OR an associate degree/vocational training.
- One year in an environment working in a customer service position.
- Proven record of self-motivation and working independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training in Coursedog (Event Management Software).
- Proficient in Microsoft or Google suite.
- Customer service experience in building scheduling.
- Experience working in a collegiate, academic, government, or similar environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Communication Skills
- Can clearly communicate via email with accurate grammar and spelling.
- Can clearly communicate via phone and in-person with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to foster an effective working environment with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
- Can collaborate with various positions on department projects.
- Self-management Skills
- Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Have high level of independent initiative, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
- Can manage and complete multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines.
- Hard Skills
- Can operate standard office equipment such as a phone, computer, and printer.
- Knows Microsoft or Google Suite products.
- Can perform variety of routine typing assignments including drafting and editing correspondence.
- Can establish and update documents, records, and reports.
Salary commensurate with experience

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
