Support programs that strengthen agriculture, horticulture, natural resources, and forestry across Utah. This internship provides hands‑on experience assisting with research‑based education and outreach, connecting university knowledge with real‑world applications for producers, land managers, and communities. Interns will gain exposure to fieldwork, program delivery, and problem‑solving in diverse agricultural and natural resource settings.

ResponsibilitiesResearch & Evaluation
- Work with Extension Faculty on agronomic research plots (safflower, winter wheat and alfalfa) to collect data and evaluate the results.
Program & Event Support
- Support USU Extension faculty in organizing Blue Creek farm field day and Commercial Vegetable Growers summer tour.
- Work with Box Elder County 4‑H Coordinators to plan, organize, implement and evaluate 4‑H activities (FCS, STEM, Livestock, shooting sports, etc.) for youth during the summer months.
- Assist with the crop and the 4‑H buildings during the Box Elder County Fair. This may include assisting individuals with entering exhibits, judging and recording exhibits and other duties as assigned.
- Be an undergraduate student.
- Have an interest in the Extension program.
- Be dependable.

ADAThe environment and physical requirements may change depending on the specific function of the work. Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments. Indoor work may involve repetitive hand motions such as typing. Outdoor work may expose individuals to weather conditions, extreme temperatures, confined or narrow spaces, loud noises, vibration, fumes, dust, mists, gases, and poor ventilation. Bending, crawling, and crouching may be required.
Incumbents may be required to lift, push, and/or pull objects up to 50 pounds and walk or stand for long periods.
