We are seeking a dependable, student-focused Assessment Specialist to join our Assessment & Learning Center team in a part-time role. This position plays an important role in supporting student success through test administration, tutoring support, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities- Proctor assessments in-person and through online technology platforms
- Administer and score placement tests and other assessment instruments
- Assist students with approved testing accommodations
- Tutor referred students in foundational academic skills including:
- Math
- Reading
- Study habits
- Test-taking strategies
- Provide writing support and essay review assistance
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of testing materials and student records
- Enter and maintain test scores and student information in the college database
- Schedule appointments and assist students in person, by phone, and through email
- Support daily operations of the Assessment & Learning Center
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming testing environment
- Communicate student progress and concerns with department leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Typing proficiency of 35 WPM or higher
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience
- Postsecondary education in Office Administration or a related field — including a technical certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree — is preferred

This position requires regular interaction with students, faculty, and staff and includes physical presence in an office/classroom setting. Duties may involve sitting, standing, walking, and light lifting.
