Position OverviewThe Coordinator, Behavior (SPED) oversees behavioral intervention services for students receiving special education services by coordinating program implementation, supporting behavior specialists, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with behavior intervention regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate the need for behavioral intervention plans for students receiving special education services.
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies to maintain safe learning environments.
- Collaborate with behavioral specialists, counselors, and administrators to support student behavioral needs.
- Manage assigned caseloads of students requiring behavioral intervention support.
- Coordinate program components, staffing needs, and materials required to implement behavior support programs.
- Maintain program records and documentation required for compliance and reporting.
- Prepare reports required for program funding and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise staff including specialists and practicum students.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

ExperienceJob-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
EducationMaster’s degree in a job-related area.
Required TestingNone specified.
Certificates and Licenses- Professional Teaching License with USBE
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst license preferred
District-required annual training and maintenance of certifications.
Clearances- Mandated reporter training
- Criminal background check
Reports to the assigned supervisor.
