Bridgerland Technical College is seeking a Substitute Drafting and Digital Design Instructor to support our program in Logan, Utah. As a Substitute Drafting and Digital Design Instructor, you'll step into a creative classroom where students are developing the technical knowledge, design skills, and software proficiency needed for careers in drafting, architecture, engineering, manufacturing, and digital design. Your guidance will help ensure students continue receiving high-quality instruction whenever regular faculty members are unavailable.

About Bridgerland Technical College

Bridgerland Technical College is one of Utah's eight technical colleges. We provide high-quality, technical education to those in the Bear River Region. We prepare students for successful careers through hands-on skills and learning opportunities.

What You'll Do

As a Substitute Drafting and Digital Design Instructor, you'll provide instructional support and help maintain an engaging, creative, and productive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting students with curriculum questions, coursework, and hands-on design projects.
  • Supporting classroom, computer lab, and project-based instruction as directed by faculty.
  • Maintaining accountability and supervision of students in classrooms and instructional spaces.
  • Assisting students in developing drafting, modeling, and digital design skills using industry-standard software.
  • Promoting professionalism, creativity, problem-solving, and industry best practices.
  • Ensuring the safe and appropriate use of instructional facilities, computers, software, and equipment.
  • Maintaining an organized, positive, and student-centered learning environment.
  • Communicating effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Supporting the overall success of the Drafting and Digital Design program and student learning experience.
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable design professional who is passionate about education, technology, and student success.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional experience in digital design, drafting, CAD, architecture, or a related field.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of software required.
  • Experience with Z-brush, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Solid Works preferred.
  • Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional, positive, and student-focused learning environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and email.
  • Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
