Instructor
Responsible for the education of specific audience as related to specialty. Responsible to teach/instruct using appropriate and approved curriculum for specific audience.
Position Details:
- Pay Rate:
Depending on experience - Shift Details: PRN position. This PRN position will teach classes when needed. The PRN instructor works with the training center coordinator to schedule the classes so they will have a lot of control of what classes they teach.
- Location:
On-site at Logan Regional Hospital - Additional Details:
This position will specifically teach BLS (Basic Life Support) Classes at Logan Regional Hospital. Experience teaching ALS (Advanced Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) classes would be a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to instruct others.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Six months previous healthcare field experience.
Preferred Qualifications As applicable:
- BLS Certification
- Childbirth Educator Instructor Certification
- First Aid Instructor Certification
- Fitness Instructor Certification
Job Essentials
- Teaches approved curriculum and reviews/revises as appropriate.
- Keeps materials up-to-date and adequately stocked.
- Maintains material and supplies, cleaning as necessary and storing appropriately.
- Organizes meeting space and meeting set-up needs.
- Completes all tracking/monitoring documentation as needed.
- Reviews evaluation forms and other feedback and responds appropriately to improve the program.
- Works with their supervisor to do an overall course review and make appropriate revisions to the curriculum and class materials at appropriate intervals and whenever requested.
- Arrives promptly including time for room and audiovisual preparation prior to classes.
- Comes well prepared to teach each session.
