Research Assistants will receive training and conduct executive function assessments of preschool children and classroom observations of preschool classrooms in the Uintah Basin area. A bachelor's degree and experience with child assessments are preferred. Research Assistants must be able to drive a personal vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed) or have other means of reliable transportation to assessment locations.

This is a temporary position, with work expected to be completed during October and November 2026.

• Complete virtual trainings on assessment tools.
• Coordinate with schools and other assessors to schedule and conduct assessments.
• Use a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) or other reliable transportation to travel to assessment locations in Uintah Basin.
• Collect assessment data from children using observational methods and tablet-based assessment programs.
• Protect data and transfer files using secure methods.

• Experience working with young children.
• Completed coursework related to child development.
• Personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) or other reliable transportation to assessment locations.

• Bachelor's degree and child assessment experience preferred.
• Experience with assessment and data gathering.
• Experience using computer technology and apps.

• Knowledge of child development and milestones.
• Familiarity with development screening and measurement.
• Experience with assessment of children and data management.
• Ability to conduct play-based assessments.
• Ability to use computerized assessment tools (tablets).

The job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

$25.00/hour

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and/or stand or walk more than one hour per day.
