Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions across multiple industries, is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to lead penetration testing and red team operations across embedded systems, autonomous vehicle platforms, software applications, firmware, and network infrastructure. This role will focus on identifying vulnerabilities, simulating real-world adversarial attacks, and strengthening the security posture of next‑generation autonomous robotics systems prior to deployment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute penetration testing across software, firmware, embedded systems, and network environments.
- Conduct red team exercises simulating attacks against autonomous vehicle and robotics platforms.
- Identify, analyze, and exploit vulnerabilities in C, C++, and C# codebases.
- Assess network and communication security including TLS, PKI, certificates, and encrypted protocols.
- Utilize offensive security tools, exploit frameworks, fuzzing platforms, and SAST/DAST methodologies.
- Develop detailed security findings, risk assessments, and remediation recommendations.
- Validate remediation efforts through re‑testing and ongoing security assessments.
- Support security compliance initiatives including SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audit readiness.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in penetration testing, offensive security, or red team operations.
- Strong hands‑on experience testing and securing applications developed in C, C++, and C#.
- Proficiency with offensive security tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, and similar frameworks.
- Experience with exploit development techniques including memory corruption, privilege escalation, and lateral movement.
- Strong understanding of network security vulnerabilities, TLS/PKI, and secure communication protocols.
- Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages for automation and exploit development.
- Familiarity with embedded or hardware security technologies such as Secure Boot, TPMs, or HSMs.
- Experience securing autonomous systems, robotics, embedded platforms, or connected vehicle technologies.
- Familiarity with secure software development practices and threat modeling.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, or CEH.
