Scope
According to customer and internal specifications, designs and implements manufacturing processes and equipment for the manufacture of PCBs, including process optimization and continual improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ability to read, understand and follow written procedures and instructions in English.
- Ability to use personal experience, education, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Lead and direct the work of others.
- Focus on process yield and improvement.
- Interact with customers regarding process improvement and failure analysis.
- Support manufacturing by process definition and implementation.
- Ability to specify materials, tools, equipment (when possible), and process parameters.
- Ability to assist in training of manufacturing personnel.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions for process improvement.

Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a technically related field.
Preferred Skill Sets- Chemical Engineering emphasis highly preferred.
- 1–5 years electrochemical copper plating experience.
- 1–5 years electroless copper plating experience.
- 1–5 years ENEPIG surface finish experience.
- 1–3 years general PCB experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of relevant engineering software and Microsoft Excel.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsTo perform this job successfully, a certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt, or enrollment in the Tyco Green Belt Training is helpful.

The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. This position is considered a medium- to heavy-duty position, meaning that the individual employee may be regularly required to lift and/or move between 25 and 50 pounds. In addition, the employee may be required to lift and/or move over 50 pounds with assistance. The employee will also be required to push/pull up to 300 pounds, a distance of 100 feet, once per shift using a cart.
These physical requirements are necessary to move panels using a cart, and to move other equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
