Cost & Pricing Analyst

Join our Corporate Finance team in Logan, Utah as a Cost & Pricing Analyst, where you'll play a key role in developing accurate, competitive, FAR-compliant cost and pricing proposals. Working on-site in Logan, you'll partner closely with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to analyze labor, material, and manufacturing costs, build pricing models, and support strategic contract negotiations. The Cost & Pricing Analyst supports the Finance teams at both the corporate and site level within the electronics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for building cost proposals, maintaining cost databases, and government reporting for multiple sites in the organization, while maintaining FAR/DFAR, CAS and TINA integrity. The Cost & Pricing Analyst reports through the Corporate Finance team, working closely with all departments and sites across Spartronics domestic locations, including the defense, medical, commercial & industrial, and life sciences sectors.

This position requires detailed cost analysis, cost model construction, market analysis, and labor and material pricing analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of cost volumes and pricing proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitations.
  • Perform detailed cost estimating and analysis, including: labor, materials, subcontracts, indirect rates (Overhead and G&A), and fee/profit.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models, templates and Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation.
  • Conduct pricing strategy and competitive analysis, recommend bid prices that balance win probability, profitability, and compliance.
  • Ensure full compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data requirements.
  • Support proposal reviews, fact-finding, and negotiations with government customers.
  • Perform cost realism and should-cost analysis.
  • Provide ongoing support for cost tracking, profitability, variance analysis, and rate development on awarded contracts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with capture teams, Program Managers, Site & Corporate Finance, Contracts, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
  • Maintain pricing databases and historical data for future bids.

Requirements:

Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. We can not sponsor visas.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial and operational data accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing operations, operational finance, inventory, BOM, and cost analysis.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and support reporting activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with finance, operations, supply chain, and other cross-functional personnel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment regarding financial and operational information.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to interpret work instructions, documentation, and safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in finance, accounting, proposal analysis, government data reporting, or related analytical experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards, TINA, and CPD preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems, financial reporting systems, or manufacturing databases.
  • Experience with in aerospace or defense cost analysis or equivalent industry experience.
