Sunshine Hospice is seeking caring, dependable volunteers to support patients and families during one of life's most important journeys. If you have a kind heart, a listening ear, and a desire to give back to your community, we would love to welcome you to our volunteer team.
About Sunshine HospiceAt Sunshine Hospice, we provide compassionate, holistic end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity, and emotional support. Our volunteers play a vital role in helping patients and families feel supported, respected, and never alone.
Depending on your interests and availability, volunteer roles may include:
- Offering companionship and emotional support to patients
- Reading, talking, or simply being present with patients
- Providing respite support for families and caregivers
- Assisting with light administrative tasks or fundraising events
- Supporting special programs such as music, art, or legacy projects
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic individuals
- Good listening and communication skills
- Reliability and respect for confidentiality
- Willingness to complete required training and background checks
- No prior medical experience required
- Meaningful, rewarding service experience
