Utah State University Extension's Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is seeking two qualified individuals to work part-time (20 hours per week) in Salt Lake, Davis, Weber or Utah County. Training and teaching materials will be provided.

• Teaching nutrition and cooking skills to limited income families and youth.
• Adhere to the University Travel and Driving Policies; mileage reimbursed.
• Work flexible hours throughout the week.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of nutrition and food preparation.
• Willingness to learn, work well with people, keep records and produce reports.
• Internet access and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to obtain Food Handler's permit within one month of hire.
• Reliable transportation to meet clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

The environment and physical requirements may change depending on the specific function of the work. Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments; indoors includes office, event, or public spaces. Incumbents may remain continuously seated and use repetitive hand motion. Outdoors may expose staff to extreme heat, cold, weather, loud noises, vibrations, fumes and other environmental hazards. Specific tasks may require bending, crawling, crouching, lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
