Overview

The HR Generalist – Team Member Engagement & Retention at Fox Pest Control is responsible for driving initiatives that strengthen team member experience, improve retention, and foster a culture where individuals feel known, valued, and inspired. This role serves as a key partner to leaders and team members by developing and implementing programs that enhance engagement, support career growth, and promote a positive workplace environment.

The HR Generalist focuses on proactive retention strategies, feedback mechanisms, and relationship-building across the organization to ensure alignment with Fox’s mission, values, and long-term growth objectives.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Reinforce and communicate the vision, mission, strategy, and culture of Fox.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies that improve team member satisfaction, retention, and overall experience.
  • Partner with leaders to identify retention risks and create proactive action plans to address turnover trends.
  • Analyze engagement survey data, exit interviews, stay interviews, and other feedback channels to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for team members, addressing concerns, resolving workplace issues, and fostering a positive employee relations environment.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Training teams to ensure a strong onboarding experience that promotes early engagement and long-term retention.
  • Support the design and execution of recognition programs that celebrate performance, milestones, and cultural alignment.
  • Assist in developing career pathing, succession planning, and internal mobility initiatives to promote growth and retention.
  • Promote effective communication practices that increase transparency, trust, and team member engagement.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices align with legal compliance while supporting a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen team effectiveness, morale, and alignment with Fox standards and expectations.
  • Partner with leaders to facilitate training and development initiatives focused on leadership, engagement, and retention best practices.
  • Track and report key HR metrics related to engagement, retention, and turnover, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support conflict resolution and conduct investigations as needed to maintain a respectful and compliant work environment.
Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Fox culture with the ability to maintain and model it through servant leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and foster trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Passion for creating positive team member experiences and improving organizational culture.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and employee relations.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Experience/Education

  • 3+ years of HR Generalist or related experience.
  • Experience in employee engagement, retention strategies, or employee relations preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

Position Type and Work Expectations

  • Full Time Work (40+ hours per week).
  • Consistent availability Monday through Friday (between 6AM and 6PM).
  • Regular on-site attendance is expected.
  • Extended periods of sitting, typing, looking at a screen, and using a computer.
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required.
