Organizational Development And Training Specialist

Come join our high-trust, highly engaged, and impactful Human Resources team as an Organizational Development and Training Specialist. In this role, you will support university-wide learning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives that enhance employee growth, engagement, and performance.

This position will contribute to the design, coordination, and delivery of training programs, onboarding experiences, leadership development initiatives, and organizational improvement efforts. The Specialist will collaborate with HR partners and campus leaders to identify development needs, create learning resources, facilitate training sessions, support change initiatives, and use data to improve employee experiences.

This position reports directly to the Organizational Development & Training Supervisor and works closely with Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness team members and campus partners. This position may be filled as an Organizational Development and Training Specialist I or II based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

Leadership Development and Training

  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate training programs focused on leadership development, Title IX compliance, professional skills, workplace practices, and employee growth.
  • Create and maintain training materials and learning resources, including presentations, guides, job aids, and digital content.
  • Partner with HR and campus stakeholders to identify development needs and support leadership development, performance management, and employee growth initiatives.

Onboarding and Employee Development

  • Support the planning, delivery, and facilitation of employee onboarding, orientation, and development programs.
  • Maintain related learning resources and gather feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.

Process Improvement and Change Management

  • Collaborate with HR and campus departments to improve processes, workflows, and employee experiences.
  • Develop training materials, communications, and other resources that support process improvements and organizational change initiatives.
  • Facilitate discussions, training, and feedback activities that help employees understand and adapt to change.

Team Development and Coaching

  • Support team development, collaboration, and engagement through workshops, facilitated discussions, and learning activities.
  • Provide developmental coaching and guidance within established programs and areas of expertise.

Data and Program Evaluation

  • Collect, analyze, and report on participation, survey, and feedback data to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to enhance training and employee development initiatives.

Culture and Engagement

  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Assist with surveys, focus groups, listening sessions, and other efforts to improve employee experience and organizational culture.

Program Administration

  • Coordinate training logistics, communications, records, learning management system information, vendor relationships, and other administrative functions supporting development programs.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Organizational Development and Training Specialist I

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, training and development, instructional design, human resources, business administration, education, psychology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Up to one year of relevant experience in training, employee development, organizational development, human resources, education, or a related field.

Organizational Development and Training Specialist II

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, training and development, instructional design, human resources, business administration, education, psychology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
