Technology Support Specialist I
Position Overview
The Technology Support Specialist I provides technical support to district schools by responding to work orders, maintaining application software systems, assisting teachers with technology integration, and providing training and troubleshooting support for district software and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to work orders and technical inquiries from assigned schools.
- Assess work order requests and determine appropriate solutions.
- Maintain district-supported software applications including installing updates and managing user data.
- Support teachers and school staff in adapting to and using new technology tools and software.
- Provide training and tutoring to staff regarding technology applications and equipment operation.
- Maintain documentation and records related to work orders, help desk activities, and system maintenance.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to technology services.
- Troubleshoot technology issues and refer complex problems to appropriate personnel.
- Assist staff with resolving software or technology issues impacting classroom instruction.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of technical support activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
