About the role
RACQ is evolving the future of automotive services, and we’re looking for a proven industry leader to take charge of our Mechanical Services portfolio across Queensland. We’re seeking a Manager Mechanical Services to shape strategy, scale operations, and deliver safe, reliable and future‑ready automotive solutions across RACQ’s mechanical workshops, mobile services, inspections, tyres and next‑generation EV products.

Your Impact

You will drive growth, performance and member value across one of RACQ’s fastest expanding portfolios, ensuring:

  • Growth, Profitability & Performance - Lead membership & revenue growth, margin optimisation, safety, risk and service standards across all products.
  • Branch Leadership - Oversee mechanical branches while ensuring alignment with broader RACQ Auto branch purpose and priorities.
  • Innovation & Transformation - Expand product offerings, lead EV readiness, and evolve the approved repairer network for the future.
  • Operational Excellence - Standardise processes, uplift the Lennox platform capability, enhance scheduling, quality, diagnostics and service delivery.
  • People Leadership - Lead and develop a large, geographically dispersed technical and leadership workforce.
  • Compliance & Safety - Maintain high standards across regulatory, environmental, OEM and WHS requirements.
About you

You’re an accomplished automotive operations leader with:

  • At least 7 years’ senior experience across multi site mechanical operations
  • Proven P&L accountability and commercial acumen
  • Strong capability in operational excellence, safety, transformation and growth
  • A passion for member experience and setting service standards
  • Experience with EV technology (highly regarded)
  • Ability to lead large teams through complexity and change
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, automotive or related fields (trade background highly desirable)
