Our customers undertake life-saving activities ranging from fundamental biological research to developing innovative vaccines, new medicines, and cell and gene therapies. This position reports to the Senior Operations Manager. It is part of the Dry Powder Media Manufacturing team in Logan, Utah, and will be an on-site role. What you will do and how you will contribute to the team is described below.
What You Will Do- Monitoring and improving productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality, and cost-conscious manner
- Developing and creating training plans to maximize workforce capacity
- Leading Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
- Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation
- Manage staffing levels to meet business delivery and cost goals
- Improve operating rigor and manufacturing processes
- Coaching and developing direct reports to improve the culture of the team and site
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college with 2 years of production, supply chain experience or leadership, or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of production or supply chain experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity
- Frequently move, lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 50 lbs unassisted and occasionally lift/move weights greater than 50 lbs with assistance
- Frequently climb stairs and ladders
- Frequently squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, turn, pivot, and reach
- Frequently use fingers or hands to grasp, clamp, move, finger, handle, and feel small objects
- Ability to continuously stand or walk
- Ability to wear protective equipment, including clean room gowning, chemical-resistant clothing, safety glasses/goggles
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus on objects.
- MBA or Masters
- Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices
- Demonstrated ability to perform in high levels of ambiguity
- Prior team-leading experience
- OMLP/ETLP graduate
