CNC Machinist / Programmer Level 2

is an advanced-level role responsible for programming complex parts and assemblies using Mastercam, while serving as a subject matter expert in machining strategy, tooling selection, and process optmization. This position goes beyond basic programming by owning the full programming lifecycle-from concept through production-ensuring efficiency, repeatability, and quality. The Level 2 Programmer plays a key role in mentoring Level 1 programmers, supporting machinists, and driving continuous improvement across machining operations.

• Advanced proficiency in Mastercam, including complex toolpath generation and postprocessing.
• Strong experse in CNC machining processes (milling and/or turning), including multi-axis machining.
• In-depth knowledge of tooling, tool geometry, coatings, and cutting applications.
• Proven experience with machine setup, work holding design, and fixture validation
• Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing)
• Proficiency in inspection methods, including use of precision measurement tools(micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and translate them into efficient machining processes
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with minimal supervision
