Responsibilities of the QA Technician I

• Prepare and analyze wheat and flour samples, including chemical, physical, and sensory testing
• Ensure products meet all regulatory, customer, and internal standards; report any nonconformance
• Prepare samples for third-party testing as needed
• Assist with customer complaint investigations and product non-compliance issues
• Follow and enforce GMPs, food safety, and sanitation practices in the lab and facility
• Assist with Certificates of Analysis for outgoing loads
• Maintain retention samples and accurate documentation
• Perform inspections, verify equipment calibrations, and support audits
• Communicate quality and food safety concerns with production teams
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements of the QA Technician I

• High School Diploma required; 1+ year of QA lab experience in food processing preferred
• Availability to work weekends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, or shifts as required
• Must complete company-provided safety training

Working Conditions

• Standing and walking for long periods on concrete floors
• Exposure to noise, dust, hot and cold environments (up to 100°F and low 40s; shifts may see >30°F change)
• Lifting, pulling, and climbing ladders required
• Work around moving equipment and forklifts

Compensation and Schedule

• Starting pay: $22.00/hour
• Full-time schedule with flexibility required
