Part-Time Cook

Location: Terrace Grove Assisted Living - Logan, Utah
Pay: $12.00–$15.00 per hour
Employment Type: Part-time
Schedule: Morning shifts; approximately 20–25 hours per week

Terrace Grove Assisted Living is seeking a dependable and experienced Part-Time Cook to prepare and serve meals for our residents. The Cook will help ensure residents receive nutritious, appealing meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment.

The ideal candidate has experience preparing meals for groups, works well independently and as part of a team, and takes pride in providing quality meals and service to residents.

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.

• Prepare food efficiently to ensure meals are ready and served according to schedule.

• Follow applicable food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food-preparation area.

• Assist with receiving, storing, and monitoring food and kitchen supplies.

• Help monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to appropriate staff.

• Provide courteous and professional service to residents.

• Work collaboratively with other staff to support smooth meal service.

• Follow established procedures related to resident dietary needs and food preparation.

• Previous experience working as a cook or in a food-preparation role.

• Ability to prepare a variety of meals and follow recipes and established menus.

• Knowledge of safe food-handling and sanitation practices.

• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to organize tasks and complete meal preparation within established time frames.

• Current food handler's permit or ability to obtain one as required.

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Experience preparing meals for groups or institutional settings.

• Experience working in an assisted living, senior living, healthcare, or similar environment.

• Experience preparing meals from scratch.

• Experience working with menus that accommodate special dietary requirements.

This is a part-time morning-shift position
, and you can expect to work approximately 20–25 hours per week
. Shift times may vary based on the needs of the kitchen and resident meal schedule. Weekend and holiday availability may occasionally be required based on operational needs.
