Member Specialist PT

Position Summary

Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns.

Promotes Sam’s Club products and services and provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology.

Processes member purchases and assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.

Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, and corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.

Maintains entrance and exit areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs.

Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items, while maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Executes emergency response procedures and ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.

Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, new technology and tool functionality, and new program rollout. Provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.

Ensures that the area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.

Completes work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners, and by communicating progress, identifying improvements, and adapting to change.

• Retail experience, including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register).
• Experience with mobile retail applications.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
