Job Summary: Perform a variety of customer service, in‑store, and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale, and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the dealership’s parts department. This position offers a clear career path for individuals interested in growing into a Parts Manager or dealership leadership role. Responsibilities:
- Supports both customers and mechanics to ensure they receive the proper parts requested.
- Delivers excellent customer service while building long‑term customer relationships.
- Promotes additional parts and solutions that support customer and shop needs.
- Helps drive parts sales growth through communication, follow‑up, and product knowledge.
- Processes parts orders, invoices, credits, and related paperwork accurately.
- Assists internal customers who need parts pulled for work orders as needed.
- Places stock orders utilizing the best‑practice criteria outlined by Bentley Truck Services and OEM.
- Locates difficult part items through experience, observation and available resources (computers and/or printed materials).
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, and 3 years’ experience in customer service, parts sales, trucking, automotive, or dealership operations preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Basic computer and inventory system knowledge.
- Must be able to work independently with inventory, requiring stooping, kneeling, stretching, and at times using a small ladder to reach certain locations.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be able to work in a shop environment.
- High initiative for process improvement and customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
