Mid Shift Security Guard

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a full‑Time Security Guard. This position is Monday‑Friday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (including holidays). The selected candidate will staff the Visitor Center, issue badges, respond to alarms and emergencies, maintain the security of the SDL campus, and monitor CCTV systems.

Responsibilities ul>

Greeting and assisting visitors

li>Processing visitors and issuing security badges li>Updating visit logs daily and scanning and attaching check‑in form to the visit log li>Answering phones li>Monitoring CCTV systems li>Issuing parking permits li>Ensuring security protocol is followed li>Conducting security patrols on foot li>Responding to alarms and emergencies li>Providing assistance as needed during emergency response
Required Qualifications ul>

Must be a U.S. citizen

li>Active U.S. Government security clearance li>High school diploma or equivalent li>Must live within local commuting distance to North Logan, Utah li>Experience programming and issuing security badges li>Experience operating CCTV systems li>Punctuality and reliability li>Ability to handle and protect sensitive information li>Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with a wide range of internal and external customers li>Professional, friendly demeanor li>Computer experience, Microsoft Office software, and various office equipment li>Excellent verbal, written, and professional communication skills li>Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously li>Exceptional observation and decision‑making skills li>Organizational skills li>Ability to work well under pressure li>Ability to prioritize assignments Work Environment &

Physical Requirements ul>

Ability to walk long distances in the dark, in adverse weather conditions, and climb stairs

Preferred Qualifications ul>

Ability to work extended hours, covering other shifts during the week as needed
