Employment Specialist for Students with Disabilities (Logan, UT) Overview
The Utah State University Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice Employ Ability Clinic seeks a qualified individual to join our team. The USU Employ Ability Clinic is dedicated to finding consumer‑driven employment and teaching pre‑employment skills to increase self‑sufficiency and a higher quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This is an hourly, part‑time position.
The role runs an internship program three times a year:
Summer (8 weeks), Fall (10 weeks), and Spring (10 weeks). There may be several weeks between semesters with no scheduled work.
- Candidate must have a flexible schedule.
- Conduct in‑depth employment skills assessments one‑on‑one with clients.
- Teach and model social skills.
- Provide job development activities including resume building, interview skills, employer encounters, job tries, and related tasks.
- Provide on‑the‑job coaching.
- Write thorough and professional client reports.
- Build relationships with local employers.
Employment Specialist training must be completed online before working with any clients.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Asynchronous Workplace Supports Training Certificate or willingness to complete upon hire.
- Access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACRE Employment Specialist trained.
- Customized Employment trained.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities for 1+ years.

- Exceptional social skills.
Job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Advertised Salary: $15.00 per hour.
