Shipping and Receiving Forklift Operator

Primary Responsibilities

Forklift Wizardry: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift, showcasing your skills and precision.

Vehicle Care: Conduct daily inspections and ensure proper battery watering.

Rack Maneuvering Mastery: Skillfully navigate in and out of the racking system without causing damage.

Customer Care: Pay attention to customer labels and purchase orders, ensuring pallets are placed correctly.

Pick Ticket Pro: Learn to work with pick tickets and process Bills of Lading for order accuracy.

Pallet Proficiency: Recognize various pallet types and understand items that belong on each pallet.

Cold Resilience: Be prepared to withstand cold temperatures for extended periods.

Loadmaster: Load trucks properly, ensuring weight distribution is safe.

Safety First: Maintain a good driving record and prioritize safety in all operations.

Team Player: Be ready to take on additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Pass a pre-employment background check and drug check.
Capable of regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
Forklift operation experience or willingness to learn and become certified.
Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
Exceptional problem‑solving skills for handling complex warehouse logistics.
Adaptability to work in a cold storage environment.
Commitment to safety for yourself and colleagues.
Team spirit and positive collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

1–2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday and some Fridays, hours vary 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Compensation

Training pay starts at $18.05 per hour, with potential to reach $21.55 per hour after mastering all skill levels and experience.
