Responsibilities- Major Responsibilities
- Drive routes as assigned.
- Responsible for welfare of passengers.
- Completion of all required paperwork.
- Team Player.
- Drive routes as assigned.
- Coordinate with supervisor to maintain schedule.
- Arrive and leave on time.
- Follow transportation policies and procedures as outlined in the Transportation packet.
- Responsible for the welfare of passengers.
- Drive defensively, with safety always as the top priority.
- No cell phone or ear bud usage of any kind while operating any CETC vehicle.
- Monitor the conditions of passengers to ensure health and safety.
- Completion of all required paperwork.
- Take attendance.
- Take effective and specific notes for any incidents as necessary.
- Complete other required reports (pre-trip inspection and mileage reports).
- Team Player.
- Attend staff meetings/trainings as required. Completion of all training requirements i.e. CPR-FA, SOAR, Modules, etc., per your position by given due date.
- Request time off by following CETC Time-Off Policy and notifying Transportation Coordinator. Driver is responsible for finding a substitute to cover their shift unless otherwise arranged.
- Assist with the clean-up of van as needed.
- Carry out communication and develop a positive working relationship with the person parents, providers, staff and funding agencies in a professional manner.
- Report any concerns to your supervisor and/or coordinator. Develop pro-active solutions to concerns that arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Experience working with people with disabilities preferred
- Able to provide detailed instructions to people with varying levels of abilities
- Team member, good communication skills, able to work well with families & community professionals
- Experience in behavior modification helpful but not necessary
- Must be able to lift 150 lbs
- Meet driver eligibility requirements.
