Prime, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working individual to join our team! Our Pre-Loader/Local Driver is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our shipping partners as well as transporting equipment by performing the following duties
- Transporting empty and clean trailers to customer and/or drop yard locations.
- Transporting loaded trailers to the yard in order to allow drivers to drop-and-hook from the yard rather than the customer location.
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers.
- Transport trailers between trailer pools while monitoring quantity and needs due to required washouts, maintenance, fuel, and customer needs.
- Spotting trailers for customers
- Cleaning truck daily after use.
- Cross‑training to tank wash responsibilities may be required during down time.
- Communicating with customer about daily trailer needs.
- Monitoring and fueling trailers and tractors.
- Inspect equipment for integrity and damage.
- Track loaded and unloaded trailers.
- Report loaded and unloaded trailers shuttled or respot during shift.
- Performs related work as required.
This is an overnight position.
Hours5pm to 5am
Compensation$24/hour plus overtime & incentive options
AbilitiesMust have a strong work history and great customer service skills. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends required.
Experience, Education, And TrainingHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); either 5 months OTR experience or 6 months running a day cab. Prior tractor/trailer driving experience strongly preferred.
Miscellaneous RequirementsMust have valid CDL with clean driving record. Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to being hired.
